Christi must be the best wife in the world - she called me yesterday at work and said, "hey, we should go to the hockey game tonight!" How awesome is that? Anyway, she picked up tickets that were only one row off the ice, so close that we could actually smell the players as they were doing line changes (perhaps next time we will get seats at least a couple of rows back). We ended up moving up one row so that we could get a better view of the ice.
This game was absolutely great. It was University of Alaska - Fairbanks vs. some school from the lower 48, and the final score was UAF 5, Islanders 0.
On the way out of the rink, we saw this ice sculpture. Very Alaska.
