One of the great benefits to visit Kersey is to take the boat out and get a nice sunburn. We managed these tasks today, with the added incident of breaking the boat. For some reason, the outboard motor was not getting fuel, and so was unable to start or stay running. Murphy's Law required the engine to run fine for most of the morning, and then quit when we were a bit of a distance from our little bivouac site. So, Pa and I jumped in the water, swam the boat to shallow water, and then walked it about a mile to pack up all of the shore stuff (chairs, beach umbrellas, coolers, towels, etc), and to the boat ramp. We were out in Jackson Lake, which is infamous in these parts for wicked late-afternoon windstorms, thunderstorms, hailstorms, you name it. Fortunately, we were able to pull the boat out of the lake before the storm came around.
We were able to get a little skiing and water-toy action in before the boat died, so the day was not a total 'adventure!'

Yes, but the adventure sounds somewhat incomplete without a discussion of some dead carp.
