For those of you who have never lived in the South (or Texas, which is in the southern part of the U.S. but not really The South), the concept of the College Football Season is incomplete. Sure, sure, there is the Nebraska - Colorado rivalry (although, with neither of the teams ranked, who really cares?) but the rivalry thing takes on a new life down here. Tonight was the Alabama - Florida game, which was the SEC (Southeastern Conference) championship game. I was wearing my UF sweatshirt around, because it was a chilly 46 degrees here in Savannah this afternoon, and while shopping at Wal*Mart, had several people comment on the fact that there was a huge game this afternoon. Funny how that works, in a pro-University of Georgia environment, everybody has plenty of hate for the Gator Nation, and I have had many neigh-sayers ever since before the Florida-Georgia game several weeks ago (in which, by the way, Florida destroyed Georgia). Ahhh, sweet vengence. It now looks like UF will be heading to the national championship game for the second time in three years!

Oh, by the way, for all you Broncos fans, Orange and Blue are GATOR colors...
