Well, the "little rain" we wanted to help water in the Weed-n-feed and help with Allison's garden came last night... just a "little more" than we wanted or needed. It started raining late last evening, and rained hard all through the night. Amber and Bella (the two mutts) woke me up at about 5 this morning complaining that they were cold and wet. When I went out to check on them, one of the metal fence poles bent under the weight of the accumulated water weight, and the tarp keeping the rain out of the dog run had ripped out of its fasteners. Our yard now resembles a tidal pool, only without any of the starfish or little crabs. Fortunately, we don't have any potential victims (I mean buyers) scheduled to look at the house until Friday. With any luck, all of the fish, river otters (they'll rip your face off!), alligators, water snakes, and turtles will leave the Larsen Vacation Swamp and head back to their normal habitat, and the water will recede back to its normal level well before then.
