Allison's Baptism

Today was the day that Allison has been waiting for since her birthday. We had her baptismal ceremony along with another family in the Church, a boy named Grant who is in Allie's class. Originally, we were going to have the baptism in one of the local sloughs (a shallow, slow-moving river), but the weather has not been very cooperative for that - low temperatures and rain make for a very frigid "dunking." We had been telling Allison that getting into the font would be just like taking a bath with a dress on - nice warm water. Unfortunately, the building's water heater was not playing along today, and the font was somewhat chilly - much to Allison's chagrin. Still warmer than the slough, though. Everything went quite smoothly, and it was a beautiful event.
