Blame Bella for this one...

Yes, another home improvement project - this one we actually decided not to do in order to sell the house. Unfortunately, our German Shepard/Mutt helped us out with this one. Bella (short for Tinkerbell(a), no relation to the heroine from Twilight) decided to get her revenge on our evil clothes dryer outlet vent cover. A little background on this one, when Bella was young, she was quite tiny. As curious as she is, and often too smart for her own good, she wanted to know what the noise coming from the hole in the wall was. Lo and behold, once she stuck her head in the vent to investigate, she could not get it out by herself. Christi had to rescue the mutt once she figured out that Bella was not, in fact, barking from inside the dryer. Fast Forward to yesterday, I walked out back to play with the dogs, and realized Bella had chewed the dryer vent almost to the point of nonrecognition.
So, another trip to my friendly neighborhood Ace Hardware store. I came home with the vent cover, but with the added benefit of needing to replace the entire dryer vent channel. Christi then said, "well, if you have to move the dryer anyway, why not just replace the ruined linoleum anyway?" Thus the new project...
Just so you know, the absolute best aspect of removing linoleum, aside from the benefit of kneeling down scraping vinyl off of a cement floor, is the amazing olfactory stimulation. Imagine the residue of ten years of laundry sorted on the floor, and the wonderful scent of dirty socks, especially strong with my nose so close to the floor.
I just LOVE these projects!
